- David Proval (GIOVANNI)David Proval made his film debut in Martin Scorsese’s highly acclaimed Mean Streets. He went on to develop a filmography of unique characters, but is best known for his television work in David Chase’s “The Sopranos” as Richie Aprile. Proval debuted on Broadway in director Arvin Brown’s Requiem for a Heavyweight, playing Army opposite John Lithgow’s Mountain, for which he received a Drama Desk Nomination. He recently completed principal photography on Lily of the Feast, for director Frederico Castelluccio.
